For over 7 years this group has been making great music and playing in different venues all over the New England and Tri State Area. Conjunto Barrio is (Luis “El Monstruo” Morales – Bass and vocals, Jose “Junito” Sanchez – Piano, Eric German – Timbales, Roberto Pineiro Jr.- Bongo and vocals, Miguel Rios – Congas, Ashley Jones – Violin, Jim Messbauwer “Mondongo” – Trombone, Ray Gonzalez – Trumpet, Damaris Rivera – back up vocals & Jesus Pagan – Lead Vocals) Performing different styles of Latin music from Salsa, Latin jazz, descargas, boleros, merengue, bomba,plena, cumbia and even some timba and reggeaton. 

Conjunto Barrio has had the honor of also backing up some of the most influential Latin jazz and salsa performers, Among them Richie Bastar, Endel Dueno,Eguie Castrillo, Edgar Nevares, Eddie Montalvo, Jose Gonzalez, Maximo Rodriguez & Alfredo De La Fe. These last three names together with an incredible group of other great music masters that also includes percussionist Little Johnny Rivero and Japanese pianist Chiemi Nakai are some of the great performers featured on Conjunto Barrio’s debut cd “Ya Llego Conjunto Barrio” “Somos Del Barrio” release in 2015.

“Somos Del Barrio” {“We From The Hood”} also brings a different taste to a traditional salsa album going from traditional salsa dura to charanga,salsa de salon, mambo jazz, bolero moruno, salsathon and descarga. Featuring the vocals of “El Sonero De La Mata” Jesus Pagan. Whom is the producer and in charge of 7 of 8 arrangements in this project. Jesus Pagan debut as an arranger in this “Somos del Barrio” production. Jesus Pagan also wrote 5 songs for this production,”Ya LLego Conjunto Barrio” Featuring:Alfredo De La Fe on Violin,”Somos Del Barrio” featuring:Ahmed Gonzalez on flute,”La Naturalesa Y Su Bellesa” featuring:Jose Gonzalez on guitar,”Salsa Pal Bailador”,”Hasta Abajo Con Su Pom,Pom,Pom” featuring: Rich-B-A-Star on rap vocals. Jesus Pagan shares the sonero honors on the track “Homenaje A La Sonora Poncena” with fellow sonero and great singer Tito Guadalupe.The song also features a conga solo by “Litlle” Johnny Rivero and on piano Chiemi Nakai arrangement, by Maestro Ray Gonzalez a composition from another great friend Gilberto “Gule” Rivera from Ponce P.R. Other titles are “No Hay Quien Te Aguante” from Ramon Rodriguez & “Mambo Medley” a tribute to Tito Puente,Frank Grillo “Machito”, Israel “Cachao” Lopez, Dizzy Gillespie, Chano Pozo, Joe Cuba & Cheo Feliciano.
